Allie Dunn was crowned Miss North Carolina USA 2016 on October 10, 2015. She is 20 years old from Stallings and stands 5'4" tall. She succeeds Miss North Carolina USA 2015 Julia Dalton and will now represent North Carolina at Miss USA 2016. Allie was previously 2RU at Miss North Carolina Teen USA 2014.

“I decided to go into pageants because it was something I was always interested in. Competing has opened so many doors – I now have a modeling career. It goes beyond just the title, and it is so much fun.” she said. Allie began her preparation for the pageant eight months ago.

At the same event, Emily Wakeman was crowned Miss North Carolina Teen USA 2016.

North Carolina has won Miss USA twice in 2005 and 2009 by Chelsea Cooley and Kristen Dalton respectively. Had been placed several times as runner up, finalist and semifinalist.
